Education: PhD, University of Maryland, 2021 B.A., Oberlin College, 2014
Current Research:
I am currently an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow investigating the importance of talc- and chlorite-bearing metasomatic rocks in producing episodic tremor and slip (ETS) in subduction zones. I am investigating a paleo-subduction interface on Pimu (Santa Catalina Island, California) exhumed from pressure-temperature conditions of ETS in modern subduction zones. This work utilizes co-located structural and geochemical techniques from the micro- to outcrop-scale in collaboration with Drs. Cailey Condit and Fang-Zhen Teng. This multi-scale approach will document feedbacks between metasomatism and deformation, and inform geophysical, experimental, and geodynamic studies of ETS and our understanding of the subduction zone seismic cycle.
