New research led by the University of Arizona shows a seismic event around 1,100 years ago likely involved two faults rupturing together or back-to-back earthquakes in Western Washington. Harold Tobin, director of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network and professor of Earth and space sciences at the UW, is interviewed.
