The 2012 Honors and Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday May 17th at 3:30 pm in JHN-102, hosted by ESS Chair Robert Winglee. There were numerous honors, awards, and scholarships given during this ceremony before adjourning to a reception in the Johnson Hall Courtyard.

- Johnston Prize for Reasearch Excellence : Theresa Kayzar, Issac Larsen
- Faculty Teaching Excellence Award : Brittany Brand, Gerard Roe
- Barksdale Service Award : Jon & Carol Avent, Harvey Greenberg
- College of the Environment Undergraduate Dean's Medalist : kate Atatkurk
